entering the sublime

well, i think my car is beginning to go.......while driving home from daycare, I notice the A/C is gone, then look at the temp gauge which is all.the.way.to.the.right and the red 'warning' light is on.

luckily, I was 2 miles from home, but at the stoplight (which I made an illegal left on) TONS of steam starts pouring out of the hood.

Ben points to it from the back seat and keeps going "Uh oh! UH OH! Mommy Car! Uh Oh! Oh no! Oh No!! Mommy car HOT!! Oh NOO!!!"

off to call AAA and tow it to Pep Boys. I hope its just a water pump....

whee! According to the weather predicters, we're suppose to get about 4-6 inches of snow, starting late tonight and ending after tomorrow's rush hour.

That news, combined with the itchiness of an impending cold, will prompt me to work from home tomorrow. YAY!

Funny Baby News: it seems as if Baby W either really likes or really dislikes the Spicy Bold Chex Mix. I think he's breakdancing (or else I'd better stay close to the bathroom :o)

Good Car News: After loosing my muffler in Southeast DC last Saturday, finally took it to my favorite muffler shop. (you laugh, but you're jealous!!) ENTIRE new exhaust system, which usually runs around $500 at a normal muffler place or $700 at the dealer was a mere $185. That's a custom shop for you.....not just for your ZZ-Top chome laiden rides! Whee! Now, lets hope that we can go a couple of months w/o putting a couple of hundred worth of maintenance into my car...

Holiday baking madness...its started. Egg Nog cookies were started last night (jamiethetiger, I'll post the recipie tonight), chocolate snowflake cookies maybe tonight, and will dig up my recipies for homemade cocoa w/ marshmellows to package as gifts to neighbors/officemates/friends/family.
