Green at the South Pole
Aug. 4th, 2005 01:54 pmV cool pic from one of network (pulsing light that reflects back at a sensor - measures distance,) & this is the one at the South Pole. The green beam shooting up to the sky is the lidar, and the white flash in the sky is a reflection off of one of those Iridium satellites (the big satellite phone company)
