skymiles does something right!

I finally finalized the flight for our trip to Playa Del Carmen in January.  Our week runs from 4 pm Sat- 11am Sat with no option of staying an extra day.  Using FF miles, our itenary was so - so:

Depart Saturday
Baltimore ->Atlanta ->Mexico City ->Cancun
We depart at 6AM only to arrive at 5PM  barfaroni!  (but its free)

Return Friday (um, not Saturday)
Cancun ->Atlanta -> BWI
Depart at 5pm, arrive at midnight.

I was holding out for a more direct flight down, and a return on Saturday.  Nothing opened up by today, BUT when I called to 'purchase' the tickets, I was informed that we were waitlisted on a few other flights leaving when we wanted to, and we had priority to take those if they do become available.  I doubt that they will, but there's still a chance...

Add that to the fact that Judd will hit Platinum Medallion status this year, and the accompanying possibility of an upgrade, I'm a happy girl!

Glad you got your trip booked. I've never had a "great" itinerary either.
