I was looking for a soft sided round bed for Sammy (for travel) kind of like the ones at Target, but a bit bigger.  Target.com lists one called the "Happy Hound Enclosed Big Dog Bed" that is:

  • Lightweight yet strong claw resistant fabric; breathable and hygienic
  • Easy to clean; removable inner cushion; bed has a mesh base
  • Packs away into storage bag

Sounds good, right? Well, look at the photo.  I don't know WHAT to make of this.  I assume that it's just the white thing that the dog is curled up in, but all I can focus on is why there's a big drawer in the back of this car/truck...

Well they have a fence thing too to keep the dog in the back. Looks like a box with drawers to keep things back there, and out of the dog's reach.
Could it be some kind of law enforcement/k-9 car?

    Maybe it's Milkbone Storage!!!

Seriously, it is an neat idea to allow for a 'dog area' yet not eliminate all of your storage area. Its just weird that Target used that photo, and the manufacturer uses an entirely

    different one

well now that is odd, maybe they are trying the wal-mart thing of putting actual employees and customers in the pics instead of the other.
Who knows, maybe they sell those boxes too and wanted to show how cute they would look together :)

I wouldn't like having a set up like that for our dogs. They're so lazy (or perhaps spoiled) that we have to lift their hind legs into the back seat of the car. We know they can jump that high. They'll put their front paws up on the seat but that's it. I wouldn't want to lift a dog on to a drawer! And that is a strange set up. Wouldn't the bed slide around on top of that thing while going around corners?
