Friday Funday?
Oct. 8th, 2004 09:53 amurgh. i feel like total crap today. Went home yesterday with a sore throat, which is usually the indication of me getting sick. I usually only get sice 1x a year. Last year, it was while in Paris, but the joy of little packets of Lotus mentholated tissues made it bearable. This time, its echinasia and herbal tea. Not as fun.
This week has been hell -- yesterday, I had 5 back-to-back meetings, with only enough time in between them to scarf down a granola bar & apple. Plus, for the 2nd day this week, was down in DC/Arlington, so 3 hrs in heavy traffic just made the days even more lovely.
Big news of the day is that the New Big TV arrived yesterday. It's huge. I dunno if it's TOO big or not. We'll give it a week or so to decide if we should step down to the 42", not only for size, but for the quality of the pic. I will say, though, that DVD's loook frickin' AWESOME on it, as does x-box. We were able to utilize the big antenna that is still on our house to get actual HDTV feed (upgraded cable hasn't happened yet), and never believed that broadcast tv could look that good. (For all the geekheads, the tv has a built in hdtv receiver)
This weekend should be nice -- we're taking an anniversary mini-trip to Southern Maryland. We're heading down on Sat night and returning on Monday. Not that much to do down there, but the inn looks fab, and their resteraunt is suppose to be great as well, so looking forward to a lazy weekend filled with mimosas and biking through St Mary's.
