considering that I am apt to quote this movie at inappopriate times, I adore this: Encountering Val Kilmer

[Kilmer] proved to be a decent egg when he nipped off to the loo, as a spy told the paper:

"This guy quoted Top Gun and said to him: 'You can be my wing man anytime.'"

"He was expecting Val to get arsey. But Val said: 'No man - you can be mine.'"

I must have watched that movie 50 times when I was a teen. We had it on both VHS and Beta. :-) That volleyball scene was yummy.

I though Val Kilmer had a less than stellar reputation with fans - nice to see that wasn't the case here.
