I'm still dealing with work issues of massive proportions from the 15' wide, 6' deep sinkhole that was created from the tunneling job at Arlington that I'm in charge of.  Thankfully, the road hasn't caved in, and the saftey issues are minimized, but now the investigations start and thus the blame and question as to who foots the bill.   Ahhhh, construction litigation. The way these things go, this will be in court in about 5 years.

Weekend was completely uneventful but nice:
- yummy food::steamed mussles + frites; crab quesidilla, steak salad, (but not all at once!),
- boring movies::Sky Captain & world of tomorrow, Resident Evil, fell asleep about 30 minutes into both
- relaxing morning::pedi &lunch w/ friends
- bit of shopping::checked out the I-Mac that will be mine soon (just trying to figure out if we should splurge on the 20" or can live w/ the 17") and bought stupid things like a squishy pillow that I'm addicted to so much that I act like Linus w/ his blanket
- minor productive yardwork::attached boards around fence where Sammy was digging out and playing with neighbor's dog

PLUS I was actually able to get back on my normal schedule of walk dog in AM, kickbox at lunch, so either the madness is subsiding, or I just don't care anymore.....

ETA:   this has got to be the most lovely shade of nail polish ever.   must buy bottle asap, as I don't want to be beholden to pedicurist for it....

I had a cheap one before, but the one I got has a suuuuper soft suede like cover and is heaven. I wish i had it at work with me...

Ooh... one could change the ugly neon color then, huh?

That nail polish is gorgeous :)

The new one I got is tan, but they had some nice pastel ones there, too. Unfortunately, none that were 'designer' colors (eggplant, sage, terra cotta) that wouldn't be noticed on a couch, but I guess that the target audience for these pillows is a 16 year old girl who's room is neon pink and green...

Boo to work stress and issues. Too bad you can't put some or all of those fighting over the sinkhole in the sinkhole.

I keep meaning to ask and am finally remembering now. Have you still be doing the X-box workout thing you wrote about months ago? Just wondering what you thought of it.

ahh x-box training! I've only done it 2x, but not for at least 2 months. There was a LOT of jumping jacks because I don't have a step at home for step aerobics. I got annoyed at trying to do them on the carpet, so would step out onto the side porch for a few mintues.

Also, the lunges/squats seemed a bit slow for me, but ended up REALLY hurting the next day!

Overall, not bad, except that I have to stand in teh middle of the big open family room and exercise, which makes me feel like Dork Extraoidinnare!

Glad the construction project didn't end up even worse! Do you ever have to appear in court for these things?

As the project manager, I probably wouldn't as I don't know the engineering details behind it, and wasn't really around for most of the operation. I've never been called before, but there's always a first.
