attention bath junkies!
Mar. 7th, 2005 02:21 pmThe bath oils and salt from Kniepp are fantastic..especially the Eucyluptus ones for Sinus Clarity. these aren't the fizzy sparkley things from Lush, but almost medicinal in their application. Discoveries like this make me mad that my mom, and avid shower-er (and bath HATER!), never ventured to Baden Baden when we lived in Germany....and also makes me crave a true spa/baths experience like the one
onelargecat had recently at the Russian/Turkish baths in NYC

Date: 2005-03-07 07:55 pm (UTC)Dude, Baden Baden is awesome. Jeff and I went to Friedrichsbad, an amazing set of baths/saunas/steam rooms in Baden Baden that you go through that get progressively hotter and hotter. They end with a series of cooler pools, finally a dip in the cold plunge, and then you dry off with warmed towels, moisturize with lotion, and then go into a darkened room and lie down on a bed where they wrap you in a cocoon of blankets and you sleep as long as you want. AMAZING.

Date: 2005-03-07 08:39 pm (UTC)At one of the mountain resorts we went to in the summer, there was a series of about 20 different swimming pools, one of which was the Cold Plunge tank. My bro and i had a contest as to who could leave their arm in the longest....I think i won at 20 seconds! I couldn't imagine putting my whole body in there!
