makeup is my creative outlet of the day
Sep. 29th, 2004 11:07 amits telling when, for amusements sake, I decide to do the 'victoria secret' look for today -- HUGELY smokey heavily lined eyes, light lip gloss, and messy bedroom hair. complete that look with a lace trimmed camisole and wrap sweater. I feel a bit rebellous...
did nothing of note yesterday except work my ass off and watch it rain 7 inches. It was far to gross to head out last night and see Shawn of the Dead as planned, thus the backup plan was bad tv (Wife Swap?) and doing some planning for our anniversary trip.
About said trip, much to my disappointment, the B&B weekend we were give is in St. Mary's City NOT St. Michaels, Maryland, which scraps all of the stuff that I had tentatively planned.
tinksdust, you use to live in Southern Maryland, didn't you? What, other than Historic St Mary's City (which won't be doing the historical interpretaion the days that we are there) is there to do around there? I went to St Mary's college once manyyy years ago, but don't remember anything about the town. The inn where we're staying has bicycles for rent, and other than stuffing ourselves with dinner at their reportedly faboo resteraunt, were just going to enjoy the views and rent a bike for the day.
too late for other plans now. grumble.....

Date: 2004-09-29 12:52 pm (UTC)I really like Evan's Seafood (http://www.evansseafood.com/map.htm). If you go there you'll pass right by Piney Point (http://www.somd.com/Detailed/1483.php). Evan's is cheap (~$10 for 6 pieces of fried shrimp, a salad and a side). We used to go there a lot. Great view while eating.
If you're looking for something more expensive and fancy there are a few places on Solomon's Island (http://www.sba.solomons.md.us/). I think that people have said that the Lighthouse Inn is really good but we never went. We went to the Naughty Gull a couple times for breakfast. It was good but I'm not sure how other meals are.
For things to do we've been to the museum on Solomon's Island as well as Anne Marie Gardens. Point Lookout (http://www.somd.com/Detailed/2312.php) is another place we frequented. By the boat launch there's a place where you can walk around and even go out on a pier. We got engaged by the lighthouse there. And if you haven't found the southern Maryland page (http://www.somd.com) that should give you some other ideas and options on entertainment and food. When will you be going there? If you've got any other questions let me know! There's a link on our webpage (http://www.) (that's sorely outdated, I'm not even sure if links to pictures still work) there's a MD section that lists places we've been to in the area in case I didn't mention something here.
