So is the asymmetrically frame thing annoying, or cool? (print is 18X12, so not tiny)

I keep thinking that the off center one looks like an Imac, but not that its a really bad thing.....

We were always taught to make the mat wider at the bottom - when it is the same all of the way around it creates an optical illusion that the bottom is smaller than the rest :)

Now that I see the pictures, the bottom one looks pretty cool. It's the step in the photo that makes it "work."

As for double matting, the top one would be okay double-matted. But, the wider-at-the-bottom one looks better as it is.
