happy tueday!

I know its gotten cold if our thermostat that's programmed to drop to 55 at night (and back up to 68 at 6:00am) cuts on in the middle of the night. brrrr!!

the 3 day weekend was happily uneventful...

Spent most of the weekend catching up on sleep and running errands (booooring!) Few things of note:

Saturday we went to the Restoration Hardware Distribution Factory sale....sounds tempting, no? Well, it was a total waste of time. Nearly all of the furniture we looked at (leather chairs, side tables, rugs, outdoor furniture) was MASSIVELY damaged, but still barely marked down. Would YOU pay $1100 for a leather chair that not only had a 1 foot rip on the side, but the rest of the leather looked like it had been washed with a firehose? Me neither.

Sunday had too much food and drink while watching Golden Globes. I loves me an award show where the attendees drink!

Monday had a few friends over to play Turbo Cranium and have pizza/beers. Fun Fun Fun!

Oho wait! forgot to relay the fun of cleaning out the finacial files in preparation for Tax Time AND look at the list of home projects for the next year! whoO! The fun never stops in Linthicum.....(ya bored? I told ya you would be!!)

Tip:

This weekend, Su Casa had a warehouse sale (slightly damaged, discontinued, etc. items). There were things that had cosmetic damage, but nothing that couldn't be hidden/fixed with a little DIY work. And priced DOWN! Like a huge beautiful dining room table from something in the high hundreds (can't remember) to $150; the wood hadn't been dried correctly and developed cosmetic cracks (fill with wax), so they had to sell them cheaper. And so on. The guy said they want to do this every weekend, and you can call the store and they will send you to the warehouse with someone to look around (it's in Fells Point).

I <3 Su Casa!

That is the Resto way... they never want to mark stuff down. I think you are better off with floor models in the store, on a slow day.

That's nutty about Restoration Hardware. I like their retail shops, but have never bought anything there. $300 for one tiny wall sconce, no thanks.
