1) Mimosas at a party: DIY or premade in a pitcher?

2) We'll have about 6 kids here tomorrow, median age is 2. I was thinking of having a ton of precut aluminum foil squares for them to crumple and make 'chains' with. Do you think this will be a hit or a miss? Ben has gobs of toys that they can play with, so I dont really need an activity, but this could be fun for them to take home...

At 2, they won't get, will likely just crumple unless adult led. I would just have big sheets of paper for coloring on, or let them play with toys. Someone else's toys are always WAY more fun to kids than their own!

And I think DIY on the mimosas. I like more oj than champagne, some people like it the other way

DIY mimosas, no idea on the age/craft question.

Happy New Year!

totally DIY. Easy, and everyone gets what they want. As for crafty activity ... clueless. But I tend to agree with above that at 2 they probably wouldn't get it. Coloring is good ... or of there is a way they can craftily & cheaply make "noise makers" like dry beans in dixie cups ortupperwear like things. ??? not having kids leaves me a bit challenged.

DIY sounds good. I'd do a coloring station or something like that. Happy party!!

1. premade in a pitcher. definitely. (Editing to add...I see everyone else is suggesting DIY...my reasoning behind premade is that otherwise, I'd fear some people would use too much champagne, if they didn't know the best porportions to use...plus, it seems like a weird drink to have to mix it yourself, from a guest's standpoint.)

2. an activity might be good to give them something specific to focus on. however, i have no idea about the one you're suggesting...sounds good to me, but I'm not two. heh. :)
