The fall festival is one of my favorite fall traditions, and it was just plain gross yesterday. It was 90' F 92' F yesterday (33' C for you Euro and Canadian friends), and completely unsuitable for pumpkin hunting, cider drinking, and caramel corn eating. We cut our visit short but hope to get back down there before Halloween. I dont know how you people in the deep south and warmer climates do it.....

preliminary picking of a pumpkin

"there's just toooooo many!!!"
overwhelmed with the pumpkins....and the heat

Playing on the hay slide
Ben's hair doesnt really look like that -- its sweaty hat head!

wheeeee!

Pig! Pig!
Ben's use to a big, stinky, dirty dog, therefore he loved the pig!!

Ben is looking like so much more of a little boy and less of a baby these days. Great pics! Even as a southern, I agree! 90 weather a pumpkin picking don't mix!

I noticed how much of a 'big boy' he looks here, too! Funny how differnet he looks on camera

We had the same experience at the Scarecrow festival. Its just plain wrong to be sweating at a fall festival. We're going to try again next weekend. Supposedly, the heat will be out of here by then.

next weekend we're suppose to do the Reniassance faire, which demands chilly temps so that you can warm up around a turkey leg. I dont think we're getting 'em...

It's flamin' hot here in PA, too! I refuse to hit the fall festivals until the climate drops at least 20 degrees! And that better be next week! :P

Isn't it gross? I need to correct my post to state that it wsa 92 yesterday, not 90. Barf.

We have another fall tradition next weekend: The Reniassance Faire, and that better be chilly, dammit, 'cause I'm NOT sweating on my turkey leg!!

I was dying at the Topsfield Fair on Friday in 80 degree temps. I should have been eating apple crisp and drinking hot cider, dammit, not sweating it out!

Pigs rule. We saw racing and swimming ones at the fair ;)

When did Ben grow up and become a boy!?! He really doesn't look like a baby anymore - it is amazing. He is absolutely stunning - a real beauty!

It sucks to be honest with you! In Florida we try and wait until the last possible moment to go get our pumpkin just to see if it will cool down. Most times though we end up getting the short end of the stick. Either it is raining when we finally go or there aren't any pretty pumpkins left. :(

Great pictures of Ben! He looks like he had a great time no matter how hot it was outside.
