All of the hate these days for the Heelys shoes (the ubiquitious sneakers w/ wheel in the heel) make me long for Pop Wheels:




I'm still bitter about the fact that they didn't make them in my size in 1978......

I don't remember those. I just remember the metal skakes you attached to your shoes. And then they'd likely fall off at some point during skating.

yeah, had some of those, too. The metal wheels always sounded dreadful on the sidewalk, too!!

What a blast from the past.

I'm such a mom - I'm always concerned when I see a kid go whizzing by on those shoes. Of course, I would have LOVED them as a kid though.
