I fully expected for Ben to enjoy a lot of the food that I've made for 'us', but I never really anticipated liking things specially purchased for him.

Such as: Greek Yogart. OMG this is the YUMMIEST stuff ever. rich, creamy and doesn't have that yogart 'bite' that you think of with yougart. I've been buying whole fat for him, and picked up a tub of 2% for myself. VERY filling, and I dont even eat the whole tub at once. Tasty as is, delicious with a squirt of honey.... The next time I'm in a store that carries it, I'm going to try the fat free...

I'll definitely have to try this. I like yogurt, but I don't like the ones that are particularly tart/have a lot of bite - Activia is really nice and creamy, but so high in sweeteners. I'd really prefer something plain and unsweetened (but still creamy) - sounds like this might fit the bill!

I buy Greek yogurt for Dennis but I've never tried it. I don't normally like plain yogurt - I need the fruit or other flavors to mask I guess what yogurt really tastes like. Next time I buy some for him I'll have to actually try it.

I didnt try it until recently, even though I was feeding it to Ben. I'd almost describe it as an unsweetened pudding rather than yogurt (I know that sounds gross, but thats all I can think of :P)

i love these. in fact yesterday i just made tsatsiki this weekend using the 2%.

get one of the big tubs of greek yogurt
skin and de-seed a cucumber and cut into small pieces
chop up some dill
garlic press some garlic (i like mine SUPER garlicky)
salt + pepper
olive oil
a squirt of lemon juice

mix it all up and let it sit for awhile and you can eat with pitas or italian bread or my favorite, with a spanakopita from trader joe's. mm. i left my tsatsiki at home this morning. boo!

I have been eating the fat free since [livejournal.com profile] girlclassical suggested I might like it (I'm a normal-yogurt hater). So good.
