I've been scouring the baby clothing sites to try and find *something* for Ben's birthday and following-day family photos.

I'm not digging anything from Gymboree, Hanna, Gap, Old Navy, Childrens Place, Mini Boden, or Garnet Hill
I DO like a couple the things from Talbots Kids, but they're not in his size.

I don't want layered t-shirts....I'd like something a bit dressier, but I don't know what.  Maybe a sweater w/ soft pants?  It will be mid/late April in DC/Baltimore.
I think I'd like to stay white // blue // aqua for photos, as they'll be outside.   NO sweater vests, which is hard, 'cause there's a ton of 'em out there now.

Any suggestions from the peanut gallery? Where HAVEN'T I looked?

eta:

LOVE this for photos....Its a one piece, but I bet I could replicate it w/ 2 pieces.  Too bad its not in his size.

the turtle sweater at Gymbo is cute, and they usually have soft pants that match. I DON'T like the sailboat sweater that they have on sale right now (v-neck = awkward layering for babies)

this one on ebay is cute.  I wouldn't mind Ben being in stripes and Judd and I in solids for the pics...

Maybe I'll stop at the mall tomorrow to scour the Gymbo outlet.

Oh he would be super cute in that white. I definitely think you could replicate it!

we do! I loved their little baby clothes, but wasn't so crazy about the 6-9 month ones. They're in the same outlet mall as the Gymbo, so will def take a look

Thanks!

If you're up for the rummaging I've sometimes found cute things at TJ Maxx and Marshalls before.

My sister-in-law shops at some incredibly pricey on-line places for special occassions. But I can't see spending upwards of $80 on an outfit for one wearing. Well, maybe for a Christening or something, but not so much for holiday type stuff esp. when they grow out of things so quickly.

But if you're interested I'll bugger her for the links. Just let me know.

heh...our SIL's are alike! I wouldn't pay big $$ for any kids clothes, esp ones that they'd wear once or twice, no matter HOW cute it it! :)

I'd fotgotten that TJ maxx has baby clothes - I just think of them as kids and adults. AND there's one in our nearby outlet mall, and as long as I have a content Ben, I can cover a lot of ground quickly.

Hope you find something you like. I just got the mini Boden cataloge. Cute stuff, but too expensive. I have to say though, I put Katie in her (ONE) Hanna outfit today and it has outlasted everything else she wears. I almost wonder if it would be worth it to buy a few more of those and not as many things from Old Navy, etc. There were some Hanna's on Ebay, but of course the super cute stuff had the price driven up to almost retail! Anyway, happy shopping.
