Kitchen Confidential, Anthony Bourdain
Tell-all about a chef and his journey through the resteraunt experience
Loved this. Bourdain doesn't clean himself up for his book, and it makes him pretty endearing to me. Not so much a foodie book as a look at what goes on behind the swinging doors and what it takes to run a resteraunt. I've never had the desire to own/work in one, and certainly don't now....but sure do enjoy reading about behind the scenes.
This book confirms my wonder when resteraunts survive....
other notes:
---I didn't know that this was made into a TV show until I did an amazon search. It was on Fox last year, and sounded like a stinker!
---I'm def going to add his new book to my reading list AND head to Les Halles (DC) on a Tuesday/Wed/Thursday :P
