vernacular_lifebirthdays have officially reached the "scary" age of 32 (hidden because there's no way to deny I'm an Adult)
No big party plans, just dinner out with Judd.
Had fun yesterday being totally domestic/holiday-like. I think I'll take the day of or the day before my bd off each year -- it was really nice to putter through the fancy grocery store and run through the mall without the Weekend Shoppers. Got home and started making Tomato Tampenade, spiced nuts, and christmas cookies. (what an odd mixture)
Got the fireplace on the porch fixed so cozy evenings bundled in front of the fire can now be enjoyed! (well, not sitting on the cold bricks, but at least we have comfy chairs out there!) We never used it last winter, so when the repair guy came to clean it up, he pulled out a SPIDER NEST the size of a lime. EEUUGHG! Gives me the willies just thinking about it! Time to rearrange stuff out there to make it more cozy. May make an Ikea run this weekend to pick up a nice, cheap, but cozy lamp to provide a bit more light out there & find some olive green curtains to cover over the icky siding....Ikea at christmas rocks...tons of cool cheap goodies.
