i feel terrible
absolutely terrible. I'm ill thinking about it.

daycare called "He's all rights, just want to talk to you about something"

He pulled the string out of his little socks.

They pull out completely. I did not know that.

He was chewing on it, and started choking/gagging, throwing up on himself in the process.
He's fine, but the daycare lady said that it really scared her.

oho god. I nearly choked my child because I wanted him to be cute

how could I not have checked.

he pulls his feet/socks off all.the.time.

I cant go home early as tomorrow is an even more insane day. Wed should be better. hopefully.

they're adorable, but what on earth is the manufacturer THINKING allowing the laces to be removed.

uh, duh///not very smart.

it was an honest mistake... don't beat yourself up over it (not saying that you are, but).

Ben pulls his feet off all the time? Wow. He's a MAGICIAN!

See, now, that's FUNNY!

It's okay. He's okay. You've got to learn these lessons, which sucks, I'm sure. I wish I could give the wee babe a hug! He's so adorable!

And you're adorable...and a great mother! :)

Glad he's OK. This stuff happens to all of us so don't be too hard on yourself. We've had a handful of scares...such as Katie grabbing a knife from the dishwasher...and running with a big glass candle that I forgot was out.

Glad to hear that he's okay, and it was an honest mistake. God knows you couldn't possibly be a better mother, K.

Sounds to me like you did just right.. he was supervised by someone who was competent when you couldn't be there. Dangers exist! You can't and shouldn't protect him from all of them. But you can place him with good caretakers when you are busy supporting him. :) You did GOOD, not BAD!
