World Cup madness has hit my home.
Tomorrow, the real fun starts at 9am when England plays....in HD

I saw this the other day in the paper...this is Oliver Kahn,the legendary German Goalkeeper benchwarmer. Guess someone didn't tell Adidas that he wasn't the starter when they erected this massive (but cool) overpass



Poland v Ecuador was mighty fun to watch on Univision, even if I only know 9 words in Spanish.

Yeah, Herr Klinsmann is running an odd team. I like how, when he accepted the head coach position, he said that he wouldn't move from Huntington Beach, and Germany said "Okay"....but now they're pissed that he won't move back.

You tell me - (friends not withstanding ;) ) - better to life in So Ca or Deutschland?

Then there's the American trainers he's hired....

I love to watch soccer on the Spanish channels. Granted, I speak spanish, but there's just something that's more fun about the way they announce it! And really, what do you *need* to know what they're saying besides GOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! :)

I can walk away from the TV and hear what's going on better in Spanish than on ESPN. There's NO change in voice when there's a big attack on goal with the US commentators....I always know when to look back when I start hearing Spanish spoken reallyreallyquicklyandVERYVERYEXCITED (usually punctuated with an OOhhhh!! rather than Goooooooollll)
