Yesterday was the first day that I really felt the full effects (for a full day!) of pregnancy/extra weight gain.  My left hip is killing me.  The ONLY thing that really helped was a bath last night.  My usual remedies (light exercise, switching chairs, tylenol, sitting on an exercise ball, walking around in my socks) did nothing for me at all.  AND it appears that its still bothering me this morning. Yippee!  Thankfully, have my prenatal massage booked for Friday.  Hope I can wait that long.

Oh yeah, and Target.com?  You can kiss my arse.  You can take your $9.99/each item shipping charge and shove it.  There's no way I'm paying $20 in shipping for curtain valances that only cost $13 a piece.

On a more successful shopping note, ordered my
Miracle Blanket last night AND a Sidecar SlingI was about to go with a hotsling, but had a babycenter.com GC, and they don't carry hotslings in my size.  Read quite a few good reviews of SS, and like that its cotton AND has a hidden pocket for keys, etc, AND its reversable! I'm going to get a Mei Tei for when baby gets a bit older, but def wanted a sling for the early weeks/months.

Isn't the print loverly?  It kind of reminds me of the cover of a Primal Scream album, no?

it IS a miracle!

The miracle blanket was the single most useful thing we bought for the baby. Hope it works well for you!

I bought one for my brother and SIL, and I don't think they used it ("it seems too tight!") and they can't find it now to loan back to me, hence the new one.

I am ALL ABOUT the Baby Burrito!

Oh that sling is so cute. I am going to be emailing you when I get preggers, because you find the coolest/cutest stuff.

that was on babycenter, believe it or not! I love the slings at hotsling.com, too

Now, to see if baby W cooperates and WANTS to sit in a sling......

It is a bit pricey for a blanket, but I've heard so many good things about it I figured it was worth the price!

That blanket looks like it would work well. Good purchase! Regular cottony receiving blankets just don't cut it.

Hmm..the only other thing that helped my walking pain was wearing slippers with some cushion in them around the house. I virtually lived in the bathtub too in the 3rd tri. Hang in there!
