Weekend was pretty non-eventful....a few naps, some errands run, nice dinner with friends, yoga...
Friday night I went home early and took Mr Sammy around the neighborhood...its' been a while since I've walked him and suffice to say that he wasn't the model of a perfectly trained dog. Also, the fact that I'm walking about half of the speed that I use to doesn't help, either. Made yummy homemade pizza that night.
Saturday, went with Judd up to a Toys R Us that was going out of business (everything 30% off) to check out what kind of baby stuff might be left. The aisles were pretty picked over, but scored a Fisher Price Aquarium crib toy thingy for $14, a foldable changing pad for $5, a cotton Halo Sleep Sack for $13, and an amusing stuffed fish (Judd's contribution). Picked up some library books on breastfeeding that came in (one of which, entitled, "So THAT'S what they're for!" amused Judd to no end). Had nice dinner w/ friends on Sat night, came home, crashed, had yet another night of restless sleep, as I apparantly am now unable to easily turn from one side to another. I blame my butt.
Sunday, I was on a mission for the following things
--bra band extender hooks
--new maternity pants to fit my Amazing Expanding legs/butt
--Flat king size pillow to maybe help me sleep better
--turbo tax
I swear I spent 2 hours trying on maternity clothes in Old Navy and Motherhood. Nothing at ON, and all of the pants at Motherhood fit me horribly. I could barely fit my leg into a large at ON, but the mediums were swimming on me at Motherhood. Ended up with no pants, but 3 new shirts (all of which are Very Maternity with the little ties in the back - not my style AT ALL, but something different and a decent price for them). I def. need another pair of black pants, so may hit Target this week, then pay nearly the same for having them altered as I paid for the pants!
Found everything else just fine - pillow hasn't helped THAT much, and I think the only night recently I've slept well was last week when I slept in the extra room when Judd was sick. I miss that king size bed from Mexico. I may try the Snoogle again tonight just for kicks.
Came home, did about 30 minutes of stuff outside (finally cutting back mums, clearing some leaves from the beds) so that Judd wouldn't feel bad spending 2 hours outside picking up sticks/dead vines from the last big windstorm that came through. Gardening was a challlenge - bending over wasn't as easy as it was in the fall :P
Since we weren't having a superbowl party this year, I went to yoga during the 1st half of the Superbowl.....good class with lots of real yoga poses for once. LOVE the visualization and toning exercizes that 'real' yoga doesn't do, but I like a nice series of poses, too
Big furniture deliverys today -- our dining room table is FINALLY here, and the crib, which I ordered last week, will be here today, too. Being as next week my parents visit and take the guest room bed w/ them, this marks the Offical Beginning of Nursery Prep time. EEEKKKK!!!!
