The highlight of my weekend was watching E's Red Carpet Coverage of the GG's where Mr Mizrahi repeated asked the stars if they were wearing underwear. His interaction with Hilary "oho wait, I'm NOT filing for divorce" Swank was priceless.
lets review my weekend to do list:
--pack, or at least sort clothing for PDC next weekend
--cook something yummy -- dinner + some old school "coffee can bread" (cooked 2 Rachel Ray recipies and both were lackluster)
--Yoga on Sunday night
--stop by costco and pick up extra contacts (don't have my legally-blind contacts in stock)
--explore a few of the local kiddy consignment stores and see what they carry (too lazy)
--watch a bunch of movies -- I think we've got War of the Worlds, Charlie & Chocolate Factory & Kindom of Heaven from netflix. (loved Charlie, WotW was so/so)
--take Sammy to the doggie park Lesson learned: Sammy doesn't like Bulldogs.
I spent about 2 hours digging through my closet and combining items of borrowed summery maternity clothes to come up with a few outfits for Mexico (BTW, thank you again
cesariohaines - the stuff you sent is perfect!). I'm not super happy that I only have 2 pairs of cropped "daytime" pants, but I'm just gonna pack a small bottle of woolite and deal with it. Most of the other guests will be a) drunk off their asses and/or b) German, so I doubt they'll care.
I did head out to the Big Mall to see what I could find to supplement my wardrobe (and esp looking for some kind of bathing suit coverup), and struck out at Old Navy, Motherload hood, and H&M after trying on tons of stuff. Ended up scoring big at Target, which again proves that one should always start with Target. I scored w/ some $11 french terrycloth pants that were technically "sleepwear" but too cute to not use as yoga/breakfast/scurry-around-Mayan-Ruin-capris. Again, won't raise eyebrows with the German Tourists.

In other news, I think I'm really going insane with Nursery Furniture. I'm seriously considering just saying To Hell With It to the furniture that was finally picked out and just getting a nightstand and an unfinished chest of drawers from Ikea and staining it. Certainly not beyond my skill level, and would cut the furniture cost by 1/2. Not as cute, but solid wood. Aaak. I dunno what to do... What's prompting all of this suddenly? Why my love of the perfect funky area rug that's more than I had budgeted for, but oho so perfect to really bring the modern slant to the room
THEN there's the cool new microfiber sectional (just the sofa + chaise) that we saw over the weekend that Judd is dreaming about for the living room.....
must......stop.....decorating........
