vernacular_lifeurgh....we just switched from a 90-day password change to a 30-day password change. We've got 5 pw'd, each must be seperate, and follow these rules:
8 Letters long,
2 Uppercase
2 Lowercase
2 Numeric
2 Special characters
Must start with an uppercase or lowercase letter.
Not contain four consecutive alphabetic characters in any order (EEee or ThAt).
Not contain repetitive characters (AA, ==, bb, 44).
Do not use the () together. This will cause problems with CEFMS printing.
Do not use a dash - as the last character of the password.
Only contains these special characters: -_ = ( ) ^ : |
The example of a good password is this: k^Fs3:2X
um.....and what about the provision for having to write all of these down because they're so freaky AND have to be changed every 30 days?!?!

Anyway, here at the Navy building I'm in, I'm thinking something huge happened over the holiday weekend. Our passwords had to be changed, and the change verified via digitally signed emails within 48 hours.
