winter coat help
Sep. 30th, 2005 02:17 pmI don't know what to do about a winter coat this year. I have a long black wool coat that is a bit big, but don't know if it will get me through Feb when I'll be 7 months along. (For those who don't know, I live in Maryland where it does get cold. I usually ride public transporation to work, so I'm outside a bit more than the average person)
Here are my options:
-make do with what i have and just leave my coats unbuttoned if I get really big.
-but a 'cheap' maternity coat from Target/Old Navy/ebay for around $40-$60
-get the Japanese Weekend 'convertable' coat that post baby, I can unzip the panel and have a normal 3/4 length coat -- $80 (the one linked isn't the one I'd get - I'd get a black microfiber one)
I'd like the last one, but since I probably won't be slinging/carrying the kid that much come the next winter, wonder about its practacality.
Help!

Date: 2005-09-30 06:35 pm (UTC)I would definitely NOT choose the "leave the coat unbuttoned" option. Waiting for a train in 5 degree weather is bad enough even when your coat DOES button!
