working from home this afternoon, waiting for the plumber to come to route out the sewer line (oohoo -- big flushes coming my way soon!!)

randomness for the day:

-finally called & pledge for WTMD, the local indie/public station.

-I swung by Sam's on the way home to fill up with cheap gas & witnessed the following scene:

New-ish conversion van with a pair of white-hairs in the front seats, handicapped license plates. They're parked at the edge of the parking lot overlooking the industrial harbor area. The parking lot surrounding them is FILLED with seagulls, as they are chucking rolls and bread out of the windows of the van, then rolling them up again quickly. On the back side of the van, in swirly 6-inch letters and in metallic blue paint, the words, "W - He's Our President!" and some swirls and hand painted 'ribbon' in the same blue. ummmmmm...........

Sounds like one of the seven signs of the Apocalypse.

Your phone doesn't have a camera? That pic would have been icon worthy. :P

I'm picturing a gull getting stuck in the window as it's being rolled up. I feel sorry for the bird and not the white hairs being pecked. Maybe the polls enticed people like this out to vote by supplying gulls to feed in each polling parking lot. :P

If I didn't have to be home at a certain time, I'd have watched to see if they got pecked! It was def. a scene to watch for a while.....

I've never understood why people feed seagulls, which literally eat EVERYTHING! At some of the big dump sites for various army posts, my dad use to call them "landfill birds" as they'd be in as far inland as, um, Kansas, to root through the garbage!

We made the mistake of feeding chickens in Hawaii. We were mobbed! We had to trick them and throw food far away and then get in the car.

Good for you on supporting your local indie station!!
