So I'm loading up my netflix list for the next couple of months -- not so much movies, but nice easy to digest 25-45 minute shows that I've never seen

Thus far, the only thing I have on there is Gilmore Girls -- there's like 6 seasons - I should just start w/ season one, right? Or is it like Buffy, where the first year was a little lame, but then really picked up speed in year 2. Also going to add the 1st 2 years of Scrubs, as I usually missed them.

Anything else? I see that Project Runway is on DVD - I never caught that when it was on.....worth it?

I've seen most, if not all of
Buffy
Angel
Sopranos
Sex in the City
Curb your enthuasiam
Entorague
Six Feet Under
Arrested Development

I'm not a huge fan of 24, Alias, or the the CSI/law and order type shows

I watch Gilmore Girls, but I can't remember much of the first season. It was okay enough to keep me watching though. :)

Veronica Mars is my current favorite TV show, and I know they have DVDs for the first year.

The first season of Project Runway is worth watching just for Jay alone (who, by the way is from NE PA, where I grew up). I liked the first season more than the second.

GG took a few episodes the first season to get it's groove, but still very enjoyable (and worth viewing for future season's references to the past)!

I am a LOST junkie. I admit it. It's longer than a half hour ... but excellent TV. Half hour recommendation? The Office. Steve Carrell is hilarious.

I've been watching that one as it happens! I was so-so on BBC's office, but like Steve Carrell - may add that one!

another v. quirky drama that has some great performances and unreal stories is nip/tuck. definitely best to start with season 1

I'm going to join the throng recommending Veronica Mars. That's a must-see for me.

The first seasons of both Everwood and Joan of Arcadia may also be worth checking out, but I wouldn't watch much past that with either show (although there isn't anything past the second season of Joan of Arcadia, so I wouldn't worry about that).

I also have a soft spot for Dead Like Me. I was pulled in by the first episode, even, and that's often difficult for "quirky" shows.

Oh, and if you've never seen it, I'd also like to heartily recommend Wonderfalls! Only 13 episodes were made, but they're a solid 13 episodes.

I was going to say The Office (US version - I had the same opinion on the UK version...even though I tend to love British shows).
