D50 sleeping bag!
Jan. 5th, 2006 10:40 amMy camera finally has a new happy home
I had a minor freakout when unpacking it (ebay purchase), thinking that the seller left out the all-important Weatherproof Cover. No, its tucked inside at the bottom in a hidden velcro pouch. No way to loose it! Lots of nice little details built in, like a microfiber cloth to protect the LCD screen on the back (or to clean one's glasses!)
Its a bit big for my needs today (only have SLR body + kit lens and external flash), but since I have both a 50mm lens and a 70-300mm telephoto, I won't have to upgrade, and I won't worry now about having it bounce around in my unpadded purse/lumbar pack/carry-on bag. Perfect for climbing ruins in Mexico :)

Date: 2006-01-05 06:28 pm (UTC)Well, my birthday is in March, so maybe I can BEG for another lens to take to New Mexico. :p
Question - if you could recommend just one lens, would you recommend the 50mm?
