I recently finished Sleep Toward Heaven by Amanda Eyre Ward, which I enjoyed. And two that I read a long time ago that I'd like to pick up again are The Lion's Game by Nelson DeMille and The Day After Tomorrow by Allan Folsom.

I just requested Sleep Towards Heaven based on your review....and my mom is a huge DeMille fan, and I've been wanting to pick up one of his books for a while....

I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife right now, and I dig it.

I read that last year and am embarassed to admit that I stood in my stinky gym clothes in the locker room reading for another 20 minutes because I didn't want to put it down long enough to shower.

Have you read Ugly Americans by Ben Mezrich? Or Bringing Down the House by the same author...that one is older. Both nonfiction, both very interesting.

I've read something about Bringing Down the House but had forgotten the name, so thanks!

Did you ever see the movie "Rogue Trader" with Ewan MacGregor? Ugly Americans is partly about the main character in that movie (the movie is based on a true story). It's not really "about" him, but it's closely tied in to him.

Everything I've read by Robert Morgan has been great. I guess he's most well-known for Gap Creek, which was an Oprah's Book Club book.
